The brief for this project was to create educational material for a child. In my approach to the brief I created a social media campaign aimed to target 11-14 year olds on social media. The speculative non-profit Youth Safe is a child branch of Royal Life Saving Australia. Youth safe is a non profit educational platform for young people that promotes safe decision making around water. The Social platforms are designed to target young Australians and promote engaging educational reels around water safety. My goal was to educate young Australians on the importance of water safety at an age where they are gaining more independence and have a higher degree of risk taking.

The Design of the socials was important to be bright and colourful to attract the younger demographic through cartoons and visual graphics. The animated reels series aimed to be educational will enter the socials feed aiming to attract the audience back to the socials page. The page will house a wealth of information surrounding water safety from how to identify a risk to educating around sun safety.


Established in the brand's guidelines are rules on how a future social media manager and graphic designer can use the brand to create future socials content. It is important to maintain visual consistency throughout the assets while also remaining playful and true to the brand's values.
